A life changed by Jesus.
I was born in Sweden and grew up in Norsborg, south of Stockholm. My family has Assyrian roots in Syria. I believed in God from childhood, but I encountered Jesus personally at home in my bedroom as a young adult. Later, at Bredäng Pentecostal Church, I sensed God speaking to me clearly for the first time.
From social work to mission
I graduated as a social worker in January 2018 and began working in social services in Södertälje. During that time, I felt the Lord calling me to share the gospel with young people in Sweden full-time. After about a year and a half in social work, I said yes to serving through Agape Sweden's youth movement SHINE.
I have also described how God spoke to me through Isaiah 54 in 2018. Today I serve as national leader for SHINE in Sweden — within Agape Sweden and the international movement known as Cru in the United States. I do not carry this calling alone.
Meeting young people where they are
SHINE reaches young people through school groups, camps, sports, music, festivals and social media. We want to share the gospel, disciple young Christians and help them find a church where they can grow in faith.
This work is made possible by a team of people who pray and give. I especially ask for prayer for young people in Sweden and for my calling to reach them with God's Word.
